How do IPCortex VoIP phone systems work?
There are many benefits to using an IPCortex VoIP system from IDT including reliability, ease of use and lower costs than using separate phone lines. But how do these systems work?
The VoIPCortex Compact IP PBX is available as a physical hardware device or as a ‘virtual appliance’ that can run on a server in your offices or on a server managed by IDT. This then connects to your broadband internet connection and offers unlimited inbound DDI numbers and unlimited voicemail boxes that can be accessed via e-mail and a web interface. It also provides hot desking support, pickup groups and music on hold functionality. Fax, video calling and instant messaging are all included as standard.
Users can also operate as though within the office when working remotely or from home, making and receiving calls, accessing voicemail, fax and more.
When it comes to handsets, choose any phone from the VoIPCortex Approved Component or any open SIP handset. Open standards mean your IPCortex system works with as many devices as possible and gives you freedom to choose the most suitable handsets.
By using your existing network instead of separate phone lines, you can benefit from a much more flexible, scalable system that will also save you money long term.
